· Color decisions made for walls, ceilings, wainscoting

· All sheetrock walls/ceilings in the Chapel building have been painted

· Billow room in basement - concrete pad poured, walls started.

Changes since last update – The following changes were approved by the construction committee:

· New 400A electrical service to main panel in basement w/ 100A subpanel feeds

· Small area in basement excavated to be lowered down 18” with concrete floor, block wall, ramp

· Billow room in basement and modifications in Organ chamber

Phase 2 – There was a minor setback because of the blizzard that delayed the digging for a week.  Even though the storm only lasted a couple days, the threat of the storm prevented the start of the digging for several days prior to the storm.  Had we opened up the ground and gotten all that snow down in the hole, it would have been very difficult to remove it before resuming the excavation, so the decision was made to wait until after the storm passed.  Joe is confident that it won’t affect the final completion date.

In the March newsletter, it was reported the shell of the addition would be up by the end of March.  With the weather delay, that will most likely happen by the second week of April.  As of date of this newsletter submission (3/22/17), approximately 75% of the excavation was done.

The main parking lot is now temporarily closed for normal traffic.  The building door on the west side (old Chapel door) is permanently closed.  Visitors must park on the street and use the building access door on the east side of the building (facing the Manse).  When the shell is up and backfilling is complete (mid-April), the main parking area will be reopened.
