No matter the circumstances of a loss, grief recovery is a painful process. Losing a loved one - whether their passing is expected or sudden - can throw your world off its axis. There is much to consider and decide, feelings to process, and it can seem just so overwhelming.

GriefShare can help.

This 13-week program uses videos, discussion, and a workbook to help you move from mourning to joy. The weekly two-hour sessions will also allow you to meet others who are grieving, and you’ll find that just knowing you aren’t alone in what you’re thinking or feeling is comforting.

This is a Christian-based support group, though you need not have any religious beliefs to attend. The group is being led by members of the Valley Clergy Association, and they are all very passionate about coming alongside you as you grieve. (The facilitators will not be teaching theology, suggesting you join a particular church, or soliciting donations.)

The cost to attend the 13 weeks is $10 (scholarships available), and you will receive a workbook to use in between sessions.  Check back for the date of the next session.

To register, or if you have any questions, call Valley United Presbyterian Church at 607-565-5683.
